Rossville is located in southwestern Fayette County at 35°2?38?N 89°32?35?W? / ?35.04389°N 89.54306°W? / 35.04389; -89.54306 (35.043935, -89.542931). It is bordered to the west by the city of Piperton and to the south by Marshall County, Mississippi.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.7 km2), of which 1.7 square miles (4.4 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) (2.82%) is water. The Wolf River, a tributary of the Mississippi River, flows to the west along the northern edge of the town.

As of the census of 2010, there were 664 people, 275 households, and 196 families residing in the town. The population density was 220.6 people per square mile (85.3/km²). There were 182 housing units at an average density of 105.6 per square mile (40.9/km²).
