Allen Census Designated Place (Lakota: wagmíza wakpála; "corn creek") is a census-designated place in Bennett County, South Dakota, named for the Town of Allen, which it encompasses. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 420. It is considered the poorest place in the United States. It is one of two places which are closest to the North American continental pole of inaccessibility. It is also located on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
