Bascom is located in northeastern Jackson County at 30°55?44?N 85°7?1?W? / ?30.92889°N 85.11694°W? / 30.92889; -85.11694 (30.928769, -85.117067). It is 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Malone, 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Greenwood, and 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Marianna, the Jackson County seat.

As of the census of 2000, there were 106 people, 41 households, and 33 families residing in the town. The population density was 448.3 inhabitants per square mile (170.5/km²). There were 49 housing units at an average density of 207.2 per square mile (78.8/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.
