Gowrie is a city in Webster County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,037 at the 2010 census. The town has a swimming pool, golf course, athletic stadium, and curb-and-gutter throughout the community.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,037 people, 442 households, and 281 families residing in the city. The population density was 715.2 inhabitants per square mile (276.1/km2). There were 489 housing units at an average density of 337.2 per square mile (130.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 97.7% White, 1.0% African American, 0.1% Native American, 0.2% Asian, and 1.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.6% of the population.
