The town is situated at the intersection of Mississippi Highway 366 and Mississippi Highway 371, southeast of Booneville, and northwest of Fulton. The Natchez Trace Parkway passes just to the south.

As of the census of 2000, there were 248 people, 103 households, and 73 families residing in the town. The population density was 139.3 people per square mile (53.8/km²). There were 111 housing units at an average density of 62.3 per square mile (24.1/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.79% White and 1.21% African American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.21% of the population.

There were 103 households out of which 29.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.1% were married couples living together, 8.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% were non-families. 25.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
