How It Works

Legal DNA test – when needing a DNA test for paternity, child custody or any court ordered purpose a legal DNA test must be performed at a testing center, the child/children and the alleged father will be scheduled to go to one of our many testing centers nationwide with appropriate documentation, identification, and the test will be performed by a qualified DNA test collector who will then send the specimen to a certified AABB laboratory. Results will be available in approximately 10 days after the laboratory receives the specimen.

Non-legal DNA test -this test is performed for informational purposes only, a DNA certified test kit will be sent to the purchaser via regular mail or overnight delivery. The kit will include clear instructions of how to perform the DNA test, the purchaser will utilize an oral fluid swab for the child/children and alleged father. upon completion the specimen will be placed in a prepaid delivery envelope and sent to our AABB certified laboratory. Results will be available in approximately 10 days after the specimens are received at the laboratory. Please remember the non-legal DNA test cannot be used in a court of law or for any legal purpose.

Common Reasons for DNA Testing in Northview

Establishing parentage for custody/support.
DNA testing plays a pivotal role in validating parentage for child custody and support proceedings, offering irrefutable, court-admissible genetic evidence. This vital information aids the court in assigning parental duties and guaranteeing reliable child support commitments.

Confirming familial relationships.
For verifying family connections, DNA tests ensure clarity and confidence, whether you're confirming bonds between siblings or extended relatives. These precise genetic tests help resolve family disputes over inheritance and create stronger familial relationships grounded in authenticity.

Immigration cases requiring proof of biological relationships.
DNA testing is essential for immigration procedures that demand proof of biological kinship for visa applicants or citizenship procedures. By offering legally valid genetic proof, the process of family reunifications becomes speedier, reducing unwarranted bureaucratic hindrances.

Adoption cases or identifying unknown biological relatives.
In adoption inquiries, DNA tests can pinpoint unknown biological relatives, granting adoptees crucial insights into their genetic background. This not only facilitates emotional closure but also provides essential health history and a better grasp of personal identity for adoptees.

Genealogy and ancestry exploration.
