Accessioning entails the preliminary processing of a sample within a lab’s system. Confirmation of any positive Screening result is performed through GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, or LC/MS/MS. All samples with presumptive positive results are cleaned prior to confirmation as required. The entire laboratory procedure from Accessioning to Confirmation is conducted under both the CAP (College of American Pathologists) Hair designation and the certification to ISO / IEC 17025 standards.
