Drugs are extracted from hair at a much lower concentration compared to other methods (such as urine or oral fluid), which is why hair drug screening is the most intricate method to conduct.
Confirmation of any positive screening is performed using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, or LC/MS/MS techniques. All presumptive positive samples may be cleansed before confirmation as needed.
