Confirmation of every positive screening result is performed via GC/MS, GC/MS/MS or LC/MS/MS. All initial positive samples undergo washing before confirmation where necessary. The entire lab procedure, from Accessioning to Confirmation, is reviewed under both the CAP (College of American Pathologists) Hair designation and the accreditation concerning ISO / IEC 17025 standards.
