Confirmation of positive screening outcomes is performed using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, or LC/MS/MS. Prior to confirmation, all samples with presumptive positive results are cleansed as necessary. The complete laboratory process, from Accessioning to Confirmation, is scrutinized under the CAP (College of American Pathologists) Hair designation and in compliance with ISO / IEC 17025 standards.
