Process Overview

Processing a drug test result in a laboratory consists of Accessioning, Screening, Extraction, and Confirmation.

Accessioning is the task of incorporating a sample into the laboratory’s system. It checks that the sample was sealed and dispatched correctly, assigns a random Laboratory Accessioning Number (LAN), and carries out any extra data input not supplied by an electronic chain of custody setup.
