Confirmation of any positive result from Screening is carried out using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, or LC/MS/MS. Prior to confirmation, all samples showing presumptive positives are appropriately washed. The complete laboratory procedure from Accessioning through Confirmation is conducted under the CAP (College of American Pathologists) Hair guidelines and complies with ISO / IEC 17025 accreditation standards.
